One-man Christmas Carol returns to Clwyd Theatr Cymru

CHARLES Dickens’ classic Christmas tale of greed and redemption is coming to Clwyd Theatr Cymru in Mold for the festive season.

Theatre company Carpe Momento will present a one-man version of A Christmas Carol , adapted and performed by actor Robert Perkins, best known for his role as Sergeant Ray Steele in ITV's long-running crime dramaThe Bill.

Robert, who will play all the famous Dickensian characters, uses voice and gesture to recreate the popular tale, basing his performance on a similar one-man show performed by Charles Dickens himself, while on a reading tour of America in 1867.

The story follows the transformation of Ebenezer Scrooge from a bitter old miser to a caring human being over the course of one night, when he has to endure a number of ghostly visitations

A Christmas Carol will play at Clwyd Theatr Cymru until Thursday, December 31.

Evening performances begin at 7.15pm, and matinées at 2.15pm.

Tickets cost £10 and concessions £8. Call the box office on 0845 330 3565 or book online at www.clwyd-theatr-cymru.co.uk.
