Great rock line-up for Light of Day tour which comes to Colwyn Bay on December 11

An incredible line-up of rock music talent is heading for North Wales as the Light of Day Annual Concert Series comes to Colwyn Bay.

The 10th anniversary world tour features New York rockers Jesse Malin, Willie Nile and Joe D’Urso – plus Philadelphia punk/folk band Marah – and North Wales’ own Mike Peters.

Thanks to a special friendship with these musicians, local organiser, Simon Humphreys has secured a date at Colwyn Bay’s Interchange on Friday, December 11.

The show will be Light of Day Wales and features all the artists in an intimate, acoustic set.

Light of Day raises awareness and funding to fight Parkinson’s disease, after the foundation was started by music manager Bob Benjamin – who was himself diagnosed with the condition when only 38.

Half of the proceeds from the Colwyn Bay show will go to the local Parkinson’s Disease Society – Cymdeithas Clefyd.

This year’s tour of 22 shows in 13 countries kicked off in New York and takes in Canada, Scandinavia, Italy, Spain and Ireland before stopping off in North Wales.

Jesse Malin is best known for his stint with glam-punk band D Generation, but his solo albums have brought him worldwide critical acclaim.

Willie Nile has shared stages with Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello and Joey Ramone, and is currently enjoying incredible success with his album House of a Thousand Guitars.

Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Joe D’Urso is best known with his band Stone Caravan.

Mike Peters is no stranger to the world stage either as frontman for The Alarm or as a solo artist.

Tickets for the concert are available at £15 in advance by ringing 01492 514021.
