St Helens Sinfonietta to play at town hall

ST HELENS Sinfonietta is rehearsing hard for an upcoming concert following a wave of success in its recent performances.

St Helens Town Hall is the venue for the one-night-only orchestral performance on Saturday.

The show will include work by composers such as Beethoven, Schubert and Bruch, and the orchestra will play the first performance of a specially commissioned work by North West composer David Forshaw.

The concert starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £12 for adults and half-price for students and under-16s. They can be bought in advance from Lyn Wallace on 01744 600 846 or from Helen Free on 01925 291 273. They may also be bought on the door.
