A TALENTED Widnes writer has revealed the family heartache that inspired her latest stage production.
Michelle Williams’s show Meet the Deans returns to the Contemporary Urban Centre in Liverpool on December 5-6, following a successful debut over five nights at the city’s Unity Theatre in September.
The show stars Brookside and Shameless actress Tina Malone, and Kerry has been delighted with how it has been received to date.
She said: “In September, we sold out every night and received a standing ovation after every performance.
“We’ve now moved on to a much larger venue, which will double our audience capacity.
“Tina storms the stage in this production and has won over every critic. By the end of the first half she has the audience eating out the palm of her hand.”
She added: “Although Meet the Deans is a comedy, there is also an underlying theme which is based on a true story.
“My sister-in-law recently received a heart transplant after many years of waiting at the top of the transplant list.
“I was inspired to share this experience and extend the message of the importance of organ donation.”
The show is produced by Kerry’s own company, Elegance Productions, which already boasts two short films and is currently in pre- production for a new feature film, Scotland Road.
