I Am Kloot’s John Bramwell goes solo at Telford’s Warehouse in Chester

JOHN Bramwell, frontman for I Am Kloot, is coming to Telford’s Warehouse in Chester for a solo gig on Tuesday, December 1.

Bramwell has previously issued solo material under the guise of Johnny Dangerously.

But he is best known as the frontman of the Manchester-based band whose debut album Natural History was produced by Elbow’s Guy Garvey and recorded in a church on the Isle of Mull, becoming one of the major critical successes of 2000.

The band have released two other studio albums with Chrysalis music and a John Peel sessions album since then and have, in the past seven years, gained a large following all over Europe from touring and festival gigs.

They are currently recording another Guy Garvey produced LP at Moolah Rouge studios in Manchester.

At his solo concert in Chester, Bramwell will be playing songs from all of the I Am Kloot albums as well as material from his album You Me and The Alarm Clock, which he recorded as a teenager.

Tickets are priced £8, available on 01244 390090 or visit www.telfordswarehouse.com.
