THE HIGHFIELD Male Voice Choir is in fine voice ahead of this year’s annual Christmas charity concert.
The group’s 98th Christmas season starts with a two day concert at The Brindley, from Tuesday-Wednesday next week.
The singers will be joined once again by the Frodsham Silver Band as well as Lunts Heath Primary and Brow Primary School choirs.
Both concerts start at 7.30pm.
The Lewy Body Society will be the recipient of this year’s proceeds.
The charity was set up three years ago to highlight Lewy Body Disease, a distressing and debilitating but not widely known condition.
It is the second most common form of age-related dementia after Alzheimer’s, with symptoms including obsessive behaviour and persistent hallucination. But, despite the similarities, specific diagnosis is essential.
A choir spokesman said: “More than 100,000 people in the UK are thought to suffer from this widespread but little known and devastating disease.
“You are all therefore invited to come along to the Brindley to support the cause, and enjoy and take part in a traditional musical celebration of Christmas.”
Tickets cost £6 for adults, £2 for children and can be bought from The Brindley on 0151 907 8360.
