Jeff Wayne brings War of the Worlds back to Echo Arena Liverpool

BACK by phenomenal demand, Jeff Wayne’s musical version of The War of The Worlds is to return to the Echo Arena, Liverpool in December next year.

Following the hugely successful tours in 2006, 2007 and 2009, singing star Jason Donovan, Atomic Kitten’s Liz McClarnon and Moody Blues’ Justin Hayward will star in the new production.

Jeff Wayne will once again be conducting the 10-piece Black Smoke Band and 36-piece ULLAdubULLA Strings.

Wayne said: “I’m most excited about Jason and Liz joining our newest production.

Having worked with them in my studio, developing their roles, I know they will bring their own individual magic to the character of The Artilleryman, and Beth, the wife of Parson Nathaniel.”

Fans have been astounded by the groundbreaking technology featured in previous productions, including an 11ft high 3D photo-real floating hologram of Richard Burton.
