Opera Gala at Clonter theatre in Swettenham

A HIGHLIGHT of Cheshire’s arts calendar, the Opera Gala, gets under way at the Clonter Opera Theatre at Swettenham on Saturday at 7pm.
This popular annual event offers the opportunity to hear talented young professional singers perform arias, duets and excerpts of well-loved operas.
The Opera Gala is the perfect introduction to opera for those new to this art form or, for regular opera goers, it is a chance to hear popular selections of opera and musical theatres.
Supper is served during a 70-minute interval, though guests are invited to book an indoor picnic table and bring their own picnic. Tickets are £30-£40; picnic tables are £2 per person; phone 01260 224514.
