SINGER/songwriter Howard Jones will release his first album for five years next month and to celebrate, he will be performing live at Manchester’s Royal Northern College of Music on November 12.
The new album Ordinary Heroes showcases Howard's talents as a singer/songwriter and classically trained pianist.
To launch the album, Howard will perform three special concerts in Manchester, London and Cardiff.
These concerts will showcase the new work but with a second half consisting wholly of the hits from the 80s, performed with a full electronic band.
The Manchester gig will be a special evening for Howard, as he returns for the first time to play at the conservatoire where he studied piano, before hitting the big time.
This will be an intimate gig with just 650 tickets available. Special VIP tickets will be £55; regular tickets will be £35, £25 and £20.
Jones enjoyed worldwide fame during the 80s, thanks to such hits as What Is Love, New Song, Pearl In The Shell, Like To Get To Know You Well and Things Can Only Get Better.
One of the highlights of his career was being invited to perform at the legendary Live Aid gig in 1985.
His 25th anniversary concert at the IndigO2 in September 2008 was a sell-out.
