Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra (Victoria Hall, Hanley, November 7)

MUSIC maestro Jools Holland is back in The Potteries on Saturday.

His shows have become synonymous with the ultimate party atmosphere, and over the past years he has performed to a staggering four million people, with the show becoming an annual must-see event for fans around the country.

The success of the live show and atmosphere inspired Jools’ last album The Informer, and the stars featured on that album - Ruby Turner, Rico Rodriguez and Louise Marshall - return as part of the show.

Venue spokesman Dave Bradbury said: “Whether celebrating New Year, or literally any day of the week, Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra put on a show that you’ll want to experience again and again.”

The Searchers, (Lyceum Theatre, Crewe, November 10)

THE jangling sound of 12-string guitar and rich harmonies returns to the Lyceum Theatre, Crewe as The Searchers take a bow next week.

Founding members John McNally and Frank Allen are still part of the line-up from the original 1960s formation, and the Liverpudlian act are still going strong.

This year the group has played in Australia, Canada and the USA.

They will offer some of the classics that brought them success, including Sweets For My Sweet, and Don’t Throw Your Love Away.

Joe Pasquale (Gatehouse Theatre, Stafford, November 8)

EXPECT the unexpected and prepare for the unusual when Joe Pasquale, the squeaky-voiced comedian unleashes his extraordinary comic sensibilities on an unsuspecting audience on Sunday.

He has put together a new show, part of a UK tour, which features all the manic mayhem, magic, mishaps, and music that one expects from a Pasquale show.

The Vagina Monologues (The Lowry, Salford Quays, November 5-7)

A TRIO of female stars come together to stage The Vagina Monologues.

The latest trio to take on the monologues based on the works of Eve Ensler all have their roots in soap operas - Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley, Coronation Street’s Sally Lindsay and Hollyoaks’ Sarah Jayne Dunn.

The threesome lined up for The Lowry join a celebrated army of female stars who have appeared in the show over the years including Kate Winslet, Whoopi Goldberg, Sophie Dahl and Jerry Hall.
