THREE Bonzos and a Piano will bring diabolical mayhem to the Live Lounge at Baby Blue in Liverpool on Sunday, October 18.
Born in a distant art school somewhere in the 60s, Three Bonzos and a Piano unleash their Bonzo Dog classics with energetic zip and palaver.
After originally breaking up in 1969, the Bonzos reformed for a series of London shows and a UK tour between 2006 and 2008.
Viv Stanshall, their front man, died in a house fire in 1995, and was replaced by guest appearances of artists including Ade Edmondson, Stephen Fry, Paul Merton and Phil Jupitus.
Their first gig in Brighton was sold out and three more monthly gigs at the venue were immediately added.Š
Three Bonzos and a Piano aim to dig out all the old songs from the Bonzos’ back catalogue, including songs that have not previously been performed, as well as new songs, including: I’m Going to Bring a Watermelon to My Girl Tonight, Shirt, Mr Slater’s Parrot, The Leg, Ginger Geezer, Jollity Farm and many more.
The current line-up is: Roger Ruskin Spear, Rodney Slater, Sam Spoons, Dave Glasson and Andy Roberts.
Tickets cost £12 in advance and £15 on the door. Ring 0844 8000 410 or visit www.echoarena/livelounge.
