JOHN Godber’s acclaimed celebration of the Northern nightclub scene, Bouncers, comes to the New Vic Theatre in Newcastle-under-Lyme on Friday.
The show, which tells the story of four doormen Ralph, Judd, Les and Lucky Eric, was voted one of the greatest plays of the 20th century in a recent National Theatre poll.
A New Vic spokesman says: “It's Friday night, the weekend’s here and the party’s about to begin.
“With one eye on the trouble and the other on the girls, they’ll take you on a screamingly funny ride through one of those nights that everyone’s had, but most would like to forget.”
The show runs until November 14.
For tickets, priced £8.50-£17.50, phone the box office on 01782 717962.
