Pianist Martin Roscoe launches Chester Music Society season of celebrity concerts

PIANIST Martin Roscoe is making a welcome return to open the Celebrity Concerts series of Chester Music Society, of which he is a vice president.

The six concerts, on the second Wednesday of the month, feature Martin Roscoe in October; Paul & Huw Watkins in November; The 18th Century Orchestra in December; Laura Lucas & Dominic John in January;Emma Johnson with John Lenehan in February and the Sitkovetsky piano trio in March.

Martin Roscoe is a versatile musician, who flourishes in performance, whether as a concerto soloist, recitalist or chamber musician.

He has enjoyed working as a soloist under such eminent conductors as Sir Simon Rattle, Kent Nagano, Luciano Berio, Yan Pascal Tortelier, Andrew Litton and Mark Wigglesworth.

At St Mary’s Centre in Chester on Wednesday, October 14, he will be performing works by Schubert, Beethoven, Debussy and Liszt.
