David Gest and his music friends star at the Victoria Hall in Hanley

AMERICAN concert promoter and socialite David Gest invites audiences to delve into his life and meet his showbiz pals at the Victoria Hall, Hanley, on Sunday.

His tour David Gest… My Life! is crammed with iconic artists who he has worked or become friends with over the years.

Using his connections and following his high-profile marriage and subsequent divorce to Liza Minnelli, Gest has become a UK household name.

He is a close friend of the Jackson family, and came to the attention of millions of TV viewers with his tall tales and daft behaviour on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.

Performing live are The Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards, the Grammy Award-winning lead singer.

There will be appearances from Russell Thompkins Jr and The New Stylistics, the original lead singer of all their hits, along with Jimmy Ruffin, Freda Payne and many more.

There will also be a guest appearance from the legendary Percy Sledge, who will perform his classic When A Man Loves A Woman.
