Georgie Fame comes to The Brindley in Runcorn

JAZZ and blues icon Georgie Fame is celebrating 50 years in showbiz with a gig at The Brindley in Runcorn – and this time his band includes his two sons.

With more than 20 albums and 14 hit singles, including the Number ones Yeh Yeh, Getaway and The Ballad of Bonnie and Clyde, Georgie Fame’s popularity continues to go from strength to strength.

Add to this a long list of collaborations with some of music’s most famous names: Muddy Waters, Gene Vincent, Bill Wyman, Eric Clapton and Van Morrison, among many others, in Georgie Fame you have a bona fide musical legend.

Recent projects have included work with Van Morrison, The London Symphony Orchestra and ex-Rolling Stone Bill Wyman, as well as regular work with his two sons.

And, of course, Georgie continues to play the same trademark Hammond organ he has had since 1966.

He comes to The Brindley on Monday, October 5 at 8pm.

Tickets are available from www.thebrindley.org.uk or by calling 0151 907 8360. They cost £15 with £13 concessions.
