Julian Clary: Lord of the Mince (Gatehouse Theatre, Stafford, October 3)
CAMP comedian Julian Clary takes his latest tour to Stafford on Saturday. The 50-year-old has made a long career for himself in television and writing by playing on his stereotypical style and utilising the comic effect of innuendo an double entendre. Of his show, he said: “I, Julian Clary, have done for mincing what Michael Flatley did for Irish dancing. I’m 50, the shame of it. This will be an intimate evening – a celebration, no less, of my 25 years in the camp spotlight, how I got there and why I refuse to leave. Come and see me before they end up putting me in a home for tired old knackers!” The show starts at 8pm and tickets are £20, phone the box office on 01785 254653.
