RISING stars of the UK indie scene Bleached Wail make a headlining return to The Box, Pedley Street, Crewe, on Friday.
The four-piece have recently enjoyed touring with emerging American rockers Cage The Elephant, and continue to put down their roots on the local scene with a growing reputation.
Band members Richard Tunnicliffe, Gus Isherwood, Adam Flood and Nick Hulme say they enjoyed life on the road and hope to repeat the experience more often.
Gus adds: “We had a wild time with rowdy sold-out shows, house parties and sleeping in the back of vans.”
The Alsager band have also been tipped for big things by Radio 1 DJ Edith Bowman, who saw them on the Cage The Elephant tour.
Support comes from The Jessie Rose Trip, fronted by 20-year-old Jessie Rose, whose Northern soul and panache is garnering positive reviews all over.
She writes her own material and plays her own instruments – including her trusty ukulele – and cites everyone from Billie Holiday to John Frusciante as influences.
Opening the night will be The Jackdaws.
Doors open at 8pm and entry is £6. For more information and advance tickets visit www.theboxcrewe.co.uk.
