Lip Service brings Desperate To Be Doris to the Manchester Library

AWARD-winning comedy duo LipService return to the Library Theatre in Manchester from September 23-October 3 with their latest show, Desperate To Be Doris, before embarking on a national tour.

An outrageous homage to musical icon Doris Day, Desperate To Be Doris features a selection of the diva of the duster’s greatest hits, like they’ve never heard them before.

For this musical extravaganza, Lip Service duo Maggie Fox and Sue Ryding have enlisted the services of Darren Southworth, fresh from the West End hit Spamalot, who will become Doris for the Day!

All good musicals traditionally need casts of thousands, so the leading ladies will be backed by a flamboyant chorus recruited from all over the North West, ensuring that those famous tunes like Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps, Que Sera Sera, The Deadwood Stage, Black Hills of Dakota, and of course, Secret Love, get the full Hollywood treatment.
