DR HOOK frontman Dennis Locorriere arrives in Runcorn next month armed with his trusty guitar.
The talented troubadour, who has notched up 60 gold and platinum albums and gained number one chart status in more than 42 countries, appropriately tours as ‘The Voice of Dr Hook’.
Locorriere’s solo performances include songs from his past, as well as newer material from his solo period, including the CDs Out Of The Dark and One Of The Lucky Ones.
His songs have been recorded by the likes of Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson and most recently rock ’n’ roll legend Jerry Lee Lewis.
As a member of Dr Hook, he enjoyed worldwide success with million selling singles Sylvia’s Mother, When You’re In Love With A Beautiful Woman and A Little Bit More.
Locorriere toured the UK in early 2008 as part of Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings.
He’s seen by many as one of the last great American Dream singers, alongside Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen.
He comes to the Brindley Theatre on Saturday, October 10, at 8pm.
Tickets, at £18, are available from the box office on 0151 907 8360 or online at www.thebrindley.org.uk.
