Side-splitting fun returns to Crewe's M Club

COMEDY at Crewe’s M Club returns on September 25 as M Comedy starts a new season of hilarious stand-up.

Since it began in March, the club has hosted the likes of Reginald D Hunter from BBC’s Have I Got News for You, Channel 4 presenter Jack Whitehall and Phoenix Nights’ star Justin Moorhouse.

This month’s show includes Liverpudlian funnyman John Bishop.

Bishop, most recently seen on BBC1’s Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, is widely regarded as one of the finest comedians working in the UK today.

He is playing the High Street club before embarking on a nationwide theatre tour which will run for six months including dates at London’s Bloomsbury Theatre and Liverpool’s Empire Theatre.

Next on the bill is Simon Donald, co-creator of Viz magazine.

He set up the magazine in 1979 in a room in Newcastle with his brother, Chris. Now it is considered an institution among all things British.

Donald took to stand-up comedy in 2005 and has recently finished a run at Edinburgh’s Fringe Festival.

Holding the evening together as compère is Dan Nightingale.

Organiser Mike Ramm said: “We’re thrilled to have such a diverse range of acts once again.”

Tickets are £9. To book, call 01270 216785.
