Doll and the Kicks headline the Box in Crewe on September 24

THE sublime sounds of Doll & The Kicks return to The Box in Crewe next week following the band’s extensive sell-out tour with Morrissey.

The outfit released their debut single Roll Out The Red Carpet at the beginning of the year.

It was recorded at Nellee Hooper’s Home Studios and produced by Oscar the Punk (Gwen Stefani, Robyn, Moby) and mastered by Grammy award winner Simon Gogerly (U2, Madonna). The Morrissey tour has seen them performing in venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and Brixton Academy.

They continued their adventures in Europe – quite an undertaking for an unsigned band!

Doll and The Kicks were singled out from the Brighton music scene when they were invited to perform at the BBC introducing stage at Glastonbury in 2007.

They outshone all with a set of danceable indie rock tracks that sit nicely between the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Rapture.

Autumn sees the band embark on their first UK headline tour and in October they will rejoin Morrissey for a string of dates.

The gig is on Thursday, September 24, at The Box in Pedley Street. Doors are from 8pm. Tickets are £6 and available from www.theboxcrewe. co.uk.
