Crewe’s Sumo Kings entertain college freshers today

SUMO Kings begin a hectic month with a show at South Cheshire College in Crewe today (Wednesday).
The Crewe four-piece will be welcoming new students to the Dane Bank Avenue college at 1pm.
Frontman Chris Farrington said: “When it was mentioned to us we all thought it would be a good idea to throw a free gig for all the new and returning students.
“I mean what better way to start the term than with a free Sumo Kings gig? If that doesn’t get kids in college, nothing will!”
The band will also be performing on the MMU Crewe campus next Wednesday at 3pm with a freshers’ gig at The Box organised for September 25. They support The Twang at the M Club on September 30 before launching Club Sumo at Square One on October 17.
