KATY Setterfield brings her Dusty Springfield tribute show to the Pavilion Theatre in Rhyl on Thursday, September 17.
Katy has been in love with making music since she was four years old. Learning piano from a very early age, she decided to pursue a career as a musician long before she left school.
Regular gigs at folk clubs near to her birthplace, Chalfont St Giles in her early teens were well attended and she soon gained a reputation for her powerful and mature vocal prowess.
In 1993 Katy teamed up with guitarist David Young and entered the world of the tribute artist. Performing as Cher, Katy quickly realised her ability to change her voice was the key to her success.
Katy later joined the hugely successful That’ll Be The Day touring show.
But the masterstroke came with the discovery of Katy’s uncanny ability to ‘be’ Dusty Springfield – a talent which took her to the final 10 in the BBC TV series The One and Only which she won.
Tickets for her Rhyl show are £14.50, concessions £1.50 off. Call 01745 33 00 00 or visit www.rhylpavilion.co.uk.
