AUSTRALIAN national treasures Dame Edna Everage and Sir Les Patterson perform live for the first time in 28 years as Barry Humphries brings his Last Night of the Poms Tour to the MEN Arena on Wednesday, September 16.
Tickets, priced £35, £45 and £60 are on sale now.
Joining Humphries' iconic alter egos Dame Edna and Sir Les will be the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic OrchestraŠand Choir, led by critically-acclaimed conductor Carl Davis.
Famed for her catchphrases “Hello Possums” and “Call Me Old Fashioned”, Dame Edna is one of the most enduring Australian comic characters of all time. Originally conceived in the late 1950s, the Melbourne housewife has gone on to achieve worldwide success, most notably in her ITV chat-show The Dame Edna Experience.
Sharing the bill with Dame Edna is Australia’s Number One Cultural Supremo Sir Les Patterson. Politician by trade, Sir Les holds numerous roles for his native country including Chairman of the Australian Cheese Board and Minister of Yarts (Arts) and Sport.
