Northwich band Thought Explode headline Crewe venue

A NIGHT of scorching hardcore will be burning up The Box in Pedley Street, Crewe, on Friday with the incendiary Thought Explode.

The punk five-piece from Northwich can usually be heard creating sound in between an abandoned bowling alley and a derelict paint balling arena in Winnington.

The band comprises frontman Chris Hobley, Sam Shutt on bass guitar, Will Eggleston on lead guitar and vocals, Liam Senior on rhythm guitar and vocals Ian Jenkins on drums.

Debut album This City’s Burning is an adept display of lightning-fast chords, chunky complex bass lines and huge melodies, complimented by Chris Hobley’s raucous screaming.

Bringing support on the night will be Anaphearo, a fast-moving, hard- paced rock band with a twist of post- hardcore.

Lighting the touchpaper on the evening will be Staffordshire’s All About Eden.

Doors open at 8pm and tickets are £5. For more information, visit www. theboxcrewe.co.uk.
