Music festival at Railway Hotel in Nantwich

THE Railway Hotel in Nantwich is gearing itself for a music extravaganza on Sunday.

The Pillory Street pub is hosting five of its favourite bands throughout the afternoon from 12.30pm until midnight.

First up are Wayne and the Hairy Peaches from 12.30-2pm, a local four-piece blues band who incorporate crowd banter into their set of tracks from the 1950s to the present day.

Rolling up after them are Tobacco Road from 2.30-4pm, a Wrexham band with an assortment of songs and styles.

Local favourites Gambler are worth a punt from 4.30-6.30pm with a two hour set of rock anthems delivered with gusto.

Supreme guitarist Jim Kirkpatrick returns with his band Heavy Weather from 7-9pm to showcase their blues abilities and prove why they are one of the most sought-after acts on the local circuit.

And rounding the night off in style are Stoke-on-Trent outfit The Bar Flys, featuring the Climax Blues band and Nearly Dan. They play their first ever ‘Railway’ set from 9.30pm-midnight.

Admission to the Railway Hotel festival is free, for more details phone the pub on 01270 623482.
