Brindley Arts Centre in Runcorn offer online deals

THE Brindley Arts Centre is making it cheaper for gig-goers to book tickets online.

The Runcorn venue has reduced its internet booking fee to £1.50, which covers the card fee and postage of the tickets.

Brindley marketing officer Pete Bentham, said: “Many of the big ticketing agencies charge a booking fee, handling fee and postage or collection fee. You can end up paying nearly as much as for your tickets.

“We are aware that, in the current economic climate, this can be a barrier to people being able to afford to go to the show.”

Upcoming shows at the Brindley include the Edinburgh Fringe comedian Mark Allen on Friday, September 11, and folk legends Martin Carthy and Dave Swarbrick on Wednesday, September 23.

Sixties rockers The Animals will perform classic hits such as House of The Rising Sun, Gimme Some Lovin’ and We Gotta Get Out of This Place on Thursday, September 24.

The Brindley will shortly announce its autumn programme.
