World famous acts lined up for V Festival

MANCHESTER Britpop pioneers Oasis and Vegas glam-rockers The Killers will perform at the V Festival next week.

The hugely popular double header festival, held over the weekend of August 22-23, is held at Weston Park in Staffordshire and Hylands Park in Chelmsford.

Also on the bill are Razorlight, Snow Patrol, Fatboy Slim, Keane, The Specials, Elbow, as well as V Festival virgins such as Pendulum, The Ting Tings, MGMT and Lady Gaga.

Festival director Bob Angus said: “We’re genuinely thrilled to have such an eclectic line-up this year.”

Other acts include James, Lilly Allen, The Enemy, The Script, Biffy Clyro, Paolo Nutini, Katy Perry, The Wombats, James Morrison, The Streets, Dizzee Rascal, Happy Mondays, Seasick Steve, Ocean Colour Scene and The Saturdays.

Weekend tickets are sold out but some day tickets may still be available, priced £73.50.
