Gary Wilmot & Emma Barton star in Chicago at Llandudno

“MURDER, greed, corruption, exploitation, adultery and treachery” – all this and more is being lapped up by audiences at Chicago in Llandudno this week.

The hit show, starring musical theatre veteran Gary Wilmot and former EastEnder Emma Barton, is at Venue Cymru until Saturday (August 8).

Based on real events in the roaring 20s, nightclub singer Roxie Hart (Emma Barton) shoots her lover and along with rival, double-murderess Velma Kelly, they fight to keep from Death Row with the help of smooth-talking Billy Flynn (Gary Wilmot).

Wilmot has starred in numerous West End musicals including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Me And My Girl, Carmen Jones and Copacabana and has played major UK tours with Oliver!, Half a Sixpence, Willy Russell’s One For The Road, Alan Ayckbourn’s Confusions, and Travels with My Aunt.

Barton is best known for her role as Honey Mitchell in BBC1’s EastEnders.

Tickets are on sale now priced £15-£29.50. Contact the Venue Cymru box office on 01492 872000 or visit www.venuecymru.co.uk.
