TIMEWATCH TV historian, Kate Williams will be presenting an afternoon tea lecture about Queen Victoria at Burton Manor on Sunday.
Familiar to viewers of BBC’s Timewatch series Young Victoria, Kate will be at Burton Manor in Neston, on Sunday, August 2, at 2.30pm.
Kate has been receiving many plaudits for her biographical writing and her biography, Becoming Queen, follows the amazing story of Victoria’s passionate struggle for the throne, and the tale of Princess Charlotte, the forgotten heir.
The afternoon tea lecture at Burton Manor aims to change our vision of Queen Victoria as moralistic, dreary and dull by uncovering a passionate, exciting, vibrant girl, whose struggle for the throne was the biggest mother-daughter battle in history.
Limited tickets are still available and cost £11 including afternoon tea and cakes and are available by request from burtonmanor.com and 0151 3365172.
