FANS of classic drama can enjoy an outdoor performance tonight.
Off the Ground Theatre (OTG) company’s annual summer tour comes to Chester to perform Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing at Abbey Green.
As a pair of young lovers prepare for their wedding, Hero and Claudio conspire with the prince, Don Pedro, to trick their friends into confessing their love for one another.
As the temperature rises, the merry war of words between Beatrice and Benedick, a confirmed bachelor and maid, reaches new heights, as does Don John’s jealousy as he plans to sabotage the wedding.
The play is directed by Iona Farley and Dan Meigh and features an 18-strong cast from the Everyman and OTG Youth Theatres.
OTG associate director Iona Farley, said: “It is an opportunity to see some of the most exciting young talent in the region.”
