Netherlands National Circus coming to the Roodee, Chester

KICKING off the school summer holidays, the Netherlands National Circus come to the Roodee, Chester, every day from Monday, July 27 to Thursday, July 30.

The big top show promises big laughs and bigger scares, under a purpose-built arena.

A circus spokesman commented: “It’s marvellous to be on tour here with such a special show. This Circus is from Holland, but the idea of circus performance was a British invention, and the circus is close to people’s hearts everywhere.

“We’re helping families fight back against the cost of living, seat prices are competitive, and travel costs are low because we come to you.”

There are no animals, and innovation and quality are at the top of the agenda for the international company of human performers which has been touring since 1948..

Featuring a flying trapeze, from Brazil the Flying Bull Dancers featuring the triple somersault, from Estonia Pavel the handsome and muscular young man on the aerial silks, from Russia, twice the skill and twice the glamour, the Bugrovi Sisters on the deceptively dangerous Rola-rola.

Holland’s best juggler Gordon Marquez, from Mongolia and the Gymastics Fantastics troupe throw one another around and take skipping a hop, a skip and a jump higher, and the mystifying illusions of Ross Presto, elegant and original aerialiste Alina and the hilarious Feilipe.
