Tickets still available for Whatfest in Northwich

ORGANISERS of the Whatfest festival are urging music fans to save cash by ‘partying on their doorstep’ later this month.

Whatfest is promising to give people the chance to take in the festival experience at a fraction of the cost of the likes of Glastonbury.

Held at Riverside Organic Farm, Whatcroft – which is between Middlewich and Northwich – from Friday, July 17, the three-day extravaganza, should be one of the highlights of the North West’s music calendar.

Britpop heroes Dodgy and The Bluetones, Scouse stars China Crisis and former Inspiral Carpets frontman Tom Hingley have all signed up to play.

Event organiser Simon Bennett said: “With the costs of attending festivals such as Glastonbury and V Festival constantly rising, many music fans are missing out on the experience.

“If you combine the cost of tickets, travel and food and drink over the weekend people can end up paying hundreds of pounds for a weekend away.

“Whatfest gives music fans the chance to party on their doorstep and enjoy an amazing festival experience at a fraction of the cost.”

The festival, which is being backed by Mid-Cheshire College and Cheshire FM.Camping will be available throughout the weekend.

Early booking discounts are available, with tickets starting from £17 per day or £39 for a weekend pass. Tickets are available at www.whatfest.co.uk, from Riverside Organic Farm Shop and Northwich Tourist Information Centre.
