US singer-songwriter James Taylor performs at the MEN Arena in Manchester

LEGENDARY US singer-songwriter James Taylor returns to the MEN Arena in Manchester on Tuesday, June 30 to perform tracks from his new album Covers.

Covers features Taylor’s interpretations of classic hits including Glen Campbell’s Wichita Lineman, Leonard Cohen’s Suzanne, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oh, What A Beautiful Mornin’ and Tom Waits’ Shiver Me Timbers.

Performing at the MEN Arena in Manchester for the first time in more than seven years, Taylor’s return also sees him perform tracks from his genre-defining back catalogue including 1971’s You’ve Got A Friend and 1975’s How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You).

Over the course of his career, Taylor has earned 40 gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards and five Grammy Awards for a catalogue running from 1970’s Sweet Baby James to 2002’s October Road.
