Dinosaur Pile-Up top the bill at The Box in Crewe

THE talented Dinosaur Pile-Up are the latest in a string of high-profile headliners at The Box in Crewe on Thursday, June 25.

The Leeds three-piece follow in the wake of Future Of The Left and Pulled Apart By Horses, all representing the finest new generation of bands in the UK.

Last year was a breakthrough year for Dinosaur Pile-Up with a clutch of supports from The Kills and The Automatic and high-profile headline shows at Club NME.

It has helped to propel Matt Bigland, Tom Dornford May and Steve Wilson into the mass public consciousness.

Bigland said: “We just want to make some 14-year-old kid out there feel like we were made to feel when watching Dave Grohl rock T In The Park.”

Their debut My Rock ‘n’ Roll – backed with the flipside Love is a Boat and We’re Sinking – was elected Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record in the World upon release and lodged itself firmly in the NME’s Jukebox for weeks on end.

Support comes from female-fronted Japanese Voyeurs and Bleached Wail and Sumo Kings.

Doors open from 8pm. For tickets, priced £7, and further details, visit the website www.theboxcrewe.co.uk.
