Welsh Chamber Orchestra provides Music for a Summer Evening in Wrexham

THE Welsh Chamber Orchestra are playing Glyndwr University, Wrexham on Friday, with a concert on the theme of Music for a Summer Evening.

The event will take place in the newly named Canolfan Catrin Finch Centre, the new performance centre at the Crispin Lane entrance.

The orchestra will be conducted by Anthony Hose and the soloist is baritone Jeremy Huw Williams. the programme will include music by Warlock, Grainger and Finzi in the first half and Elgar and Holst in the second.

Conductor Anthony Hose began playing the piano at age three and gave his first recital aged six.

He works with many orchestras throughout Europe, including the Berlin Symphony and the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, and in Britain with the London Philharmonic, the Royal Philharmonic, English Chamber, and Welsh Chamber Orchestra of which he is principal conductor.
