Ali Campbell brings UK solo tour to Liverpool and Manchester

FORMER UB40 frontman Ali Campbell is taking his UK tour to Liverpool and Manchester to celebrate the release of his new solo album, Flying High.

Having just returned from a successful tour of Australia and New Zealand with his new band – the Dep Band – Ali is looking forward to performing for his British fans:

“I feel a new lease of life,” he said. “I perform a mixture of some songs from the solo albums as well as the classics, like Red Red Wine, that I am known for – but performing with the new band is like a breath of fresh air and I am enjoying every minute of it.”

Following the success of 2007’s Running Free album, Ali’s follow up solo album, Flying High, will be a mixture of original material and interesting covers with a world theme running throughout.

Ali has always enjoyed working with artists from different countries, cultures and backgrounds and this album will feature artists from the UK, USA, Russia, Germany, Africa and Australia.

Ali Campbell can be seen at the Manchester Apollo (0161 242 2560) on June 24 and the Liverpool Empire (0844 847 2525 - www.liverpoolempire.org.uk) on June 28.
