THE magic of supergroup Queen and Freddie Mercury lives on through the tribute QEII who appear at Crewe’s M Club on Saturday.
The popular five-piece from Stoke are a well established favourite on the tribute scene, having played more than 2,000 gigs in the last decade.
As staunch Queen fans, they are still striving to match their heroes’ stunning stage presence during their peak in the 80s.
QEII originally rehearsed behind closed doors for 12 months to perfect their sound.
Their show has been described by trade newspaper The Stage as ‘the closest thing to the original Queen’ and the group are known to share their idols’ taste for extravagance.
Fans can expect to hear renditions of classics such as Killer Queen, Bicycle Race, Under Pressure and Another One Bites the Dust.
A band spokesman said: “It’s a truly amazing show not to be missed.”
Doors open at 8pm.
