Jennifer Pike & Martin Roscoe perform Sunday Morning Serenades at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall

JENNIFER Pike and Martin Roscoe are two musicians with close ties to Manchester, and they will celebrate that association with a pair of morning concerts on consecutive Sundays at The Bridgewater Hall this month.

The two concerts offer highly virtuosic programmes with a focus on Beethoven, together with new works specially written for Jennifer Pike.

These two Sunday morning duo recitals will round off the Bridgewater Hall’s prestigious International Series.

Former Chetham’s student Jennifer Pike, 19, shot to fame when she became the youngest ever winner of the BBC’s Young Musician of the Year competition in 2002.

She is now one of BBC Radio 3’s New Generation Artists.

Her Bridgewater Hall concert will be recorded for later broadcast on BBC Radio 3.

She will be accompanied by Martin Roscoe, a former teacher at the Royal Northern College of Music, now on the staff at Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Tickets for the Sunday serenades at 11am are £12 each. Ring 0161 907 9000 or visit www.bridgewater-hall.co.uk.
