BRIGHTON’S The Foxes bring some powerhouse vocals and rip-roaring guitars to The Box in Crewe tomorrow.
Hitting number six and number nine in the official UK indie charts with their debut release Trauma Town and follow-up track Bill Hicks, the band come to Crewe following headline shows with Club NME.
Returning from a month spent playing shows in the US in 2007, they went on to play a staggering 118 shows by the end of 2008.
Thirty of these were supporting ex-Libertine John Hassall’s Yeti and 10 dates formed a headline European tour including Hamburg’s historic Reeperbahn.
Other notable supports include The Magic Numbers, Glasvegas, The Animals and bizarrely Chas and Dave!
This year promises to be even busier with their debut album in the pipeline.
The latest release was a tribute to the iconic cerebral comedian Bill Hicks and his beliefs.
Special guests on the night are Crewe’s own Friend Called Fred following a storming set at the Volume Festival. Opening the night will be pop punksters Smile Like Texas.
Entry is £5. Doors from 8pm.
