ONE of the world’s most successful stage musicals, West Side Story, comes to Stoke’s Regent Theatre for a two-week from on Tuesday.
The show, which inspired the 1961 Oscar-winning film, is celebrating 50 years since it first opened in the UK.
Set in New York in the mid-1950s, the musical explores the teenage love affair between Tony and Maria against a backdrop of gang rivalries and racial tension.
It features classic songs such as Maria, Tonight and I Feel Pretty.
Shows start at 7.30pm daily with 2.30pm matinees shows on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
