Foxes to headline at the Box at Crewe

HOTLY tipped indie-rockers The Foxes will be in action at the Box in Crewe on Friday.

The talented London four-piece headline a stellar two-day bill at the Pedley Street venue with support from Crewe’s blues-inspired indie rock band Friend Called Fred and Smile Like Texas.

The Vanguards, Plastic Highways, The Runaway Kings play tomorrow (Thursday).

The Foxes, who formed in 2006, have already received glowing praise from NME magazine which said “they have the talent and confidence to make a huge impact on the UK music scene”.

The group consists of singer and guitarist Nigel Thomas, lead guitarist Jonathan Brentman, bassist Alex Douglas and Stephen Wilde on drums.

They recently reached number six in the Official UK Indie charts with their single Bill Hicks which received rave reviews around the country.

A band spokesman said: “They are currently promoting their new song Lover, Killer, before hitting the road for massive tours across India and America in a big red double-decker Routemaster bus.”

Doors open at 8pm tomorrow and Friday. Tickets for both shows are £5 from the Royal Hotel, Nantwich Road, Crewe, or on the door.
