Atlantic Massey play first ever gig at The Zanzibar in Liverpool

ATLANTIC Massey is a new band born out of the rich talent pool that is the Merseyside music scene.

They will be making their live debut at The Zanzibar Club in Liverpool on Saturday. Atlantic Massey are a group of musicians made up of former members of prominent Liverpool bands such as The Prelude, Alterkicks, Great North Western Hobos and The Grand Architects.

This is the first opportunity to catch the band before they take their recently brewed sounds of folk, beat and stomp on the road.

The band is giving a headline debut performance at the Company Store club night, run by The Sixteen Tonnes and championed by Noel Gallagher.

This will be followed by a tour taking various stops across the UK, ending with festival dates in the Czech Republic, showcasing the wealth of songs recently recorded in Liverpool’s Elevator Studios.

The band met through common musical interests – namely joining each other onstage for various one-off performances or guesting in numerous bands in the thriving and fraternal Liverpool folk scene.
