Jimmy Carr is back at the Regent Theatre

AWARD-WINNING comedian Jimmy Carr makes a welcome return to the Regent Theatre in Hanley tomorrow (Thursday) with his latest tour Joke Technician.

He has squeezed in an extra date to his busy UK tour due to popular demand.

Sharp-witted and sharp-suited, Carr is back on the road, following last year’s sell-out Repeat Offender tour and another successful series of 8 Out Of 10 Cats.

He has previously been a guest presenter on Have I Got News For You and appeared at the Royal Variety Performance last year.

He has won awards, released chart-topping DVDs, written a best-selling book and broken box office records by performing to more than 500,000 people in the past three years.

Carr also became the first major comedian to perform within the online world of Second Life.

A tour spokesman says: “It’s rude, crude and offensive – but those aren’t the only reasons you’ll enjoy it.

“He may be the hardest working man in comedy. But perhaps he wouldn’t have to be if he had a little bit more talent!”

The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £20, to book phone the box office on 0870 060 6649 or visit www.ambassadortickets.com.
