X-FACTOR finalist Andy Abraham demonstrates why he got so far in the competition at the Victoria Hall in Hanley tomorrow (Thursday).
Former binman Abraham won the hearts of more than nine million viewers each week when he reached the 2005 final with his incredible vocal talents and endearing personality. He finished runner-up to Shayne Ward.
His debut album The Impossible Dream made chart history, selling 176,689 copies in its first week and reaching platinum status.
He sold out at London's Royal Albert Hall in 2006 and his second album Soul Man peaked at number 19.
In 2008, the 44-year-old was chosen to represent the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest with the self-penned Even If, but disappointingly finished joint last on 14 points with Germany and Poland.
A spokesman for Abraham says: “His Eurovision experience has done him a power of good as we have had lots of European enquiries from Spain and Portugal.”
His UK tour, titled An Evening With Andy Abraham features a wide repertoire of classic tracks including Bill Withers’ Ain’t No Sunshine and Percy Sledge’s When A Man Loves A Woman.
The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are priced £20-£24.50, to book phone the box office on 0870 060 6649 or visit www.ambassadortickets.com.
