MUSICIAN and song writer Nick Lowe, one of Britain’s greatest ever music producers and the man who brought Elvis Costello and The Dammed to the world, brings his own remarkable show to the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool on May 24 at 7.30pm.
As legendary co-founder and producer at Stiff Records, Lowe and his label helped usher in British punk and new wave, helming historic recordings including New Rose by The Damned – widely accepted as the first ever indie single - and is the man behind Elvis Costello’s My Aim Is True, This Year's Model, and Armed Forces, not to mention his own releases of the time.
Lowe has had 14 solo albums and is perhaps best known for his songs (I Love The Sound of) Breaking Glass, (What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love, And Understanding and Cruel to Be Kind.
With the massive success of his 2007 album At My Age, Lowe is now selling out tour dates world wide.
His Liverpool gig also features appearances by Juno Award nominee Ron Sexsmith.
Tickets, priced £29.50, £34.50, are available on 0151 709 3789.
