THE National Conservation Centre in Liverpool is offering people the chance to celebrate their own individual style in a fantastic fashion competition.
Sound and Vision: Music and Fashion, photographed by Francesco Mellina, Liverpool, 1978-82 – on display until August 31 – at the National Conservation Centre, captures the fabulous fashions worn by the music fans inhabiting Liverpool’s music scene in the late 70s and early 80s.
The exhibition documents the amazing trends at a pivotal point when music and fashion merged to create new sounds and styles, and now the National Conservation Centre is looking for people who have their own unique look and style to be photographed and add the finishing touch to the exhibition.
The person judged to have the most unusual, quirky and individual style will have their picture displayed in the exhibition for its duration.
Francesco Mellina will photograph all successful entrants over two sessions on Wednesday, May 27 and Saturday, May 30 from 1–5pm. Photographs of all entrants will also appear on the National Museums Liverpool website.
Application forms can be picked up in the Sound and Vision exhibition in the National Conservation Centre.
