CREWE’S newest comedy night will welcome back a familiar face next week.
Many will remember Toby Hadoke from his regular compere days at the former Limelight Comedy Club, and he returns to feature at the latest M Comedy night.
He wrote and performed Moths Ate My Doctor Who Scarf - a show which went on to become a BBC Audiobook CD, a show on BBC Radio and also enjoyed a run in London’s West End.
Hadoke was nominated for a Sony Radio Award for his work and continued to tour theatres around the country.
Joining him at the High Street venue is former Big Brother’s Little Brother presenter Jack Whitehall, who is set to launch his own TV show Jack Whitehall’s Secret Census to air later in the year on Channel 4. Also on the bill is comedy veteran Carey Marx who has been an all round entertainer for 20 years, and 2004 City Life Comedian of the Year winner John Warburton who has most recently appeared in Coronation Street as Barry Sidwell.
Promoter Jon Mitchell said: “Even though we’re only two shows in, we’re keen to mix things up and keep the evenings fresh and of a very high standard.
“People are getting the same quality they would get in Manchester or Birmingham’s big comedy clubs without having to travel and for half the price.”
The show starts at 8.15pm on Friday, May 27. Tickets are £9, or £8 with student ID. For more details log on to www.mcomedy.co.uk.
