A RAUCOUS tale of pirates and deception is ready for the Lyceum Theatre in Crewe next week in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance.
The Crewe Amateur Musicals Society production is a 21st Century take on the classic comic opera, penned by Australian pop star Simon Gallagher.
Amateur operatic society veteran Michael Bradley takes the lead role of Frederic, having already appeared in three other productions around the county last year.
He also reached the Top 100 when he auditioned for ITV’s Grease Is The Word.
Northwich teacher Steve Turnbull stars opposite him as the Pirate King.
The show runs from Tuesday until Saturday, March 14. Shows start at 7.30pm with a 2.30pm matinee performance on the Saturday. Tickets are £7-£10.50 on 01270 537333.
