ALSAGER Arts Centre embarks on its final season at its Hassall Road campus and has opened with a gallery called Members Of The Institute Of Beasts.
A variety of animals from hamsters and dogs to turkeys and deer are introduced into the gallery via a series of installed shelters, photographs, animations and video.
Centre spokeswoman, Maxine Wollaston, explains: “The Institute will encourage its faculty to cross a threshold where productions and actions begin to constitute their own worlds, potentially lacking any subject or goal other than the experience of an indeterminable encounter.”
Admission to all gallery exhibitions is free. For details, phone 0161 247 5302 or visit www.alsagerartscentre.org.uk.
